As part of DeveloAID’s expertise in conflict-sensitive development and peacebuilding, we co-led a comprehensive context analysis for Yemen on behalf of GIZ. This initiative employed the Peace and Conflict Assessment (PCA) methodology to provide a detailed understanding of Yemen’s complex socio-political environment, ongoing conflicts, and peacebuilding needs. The analysis served as a foundation for GIZ to align its portfolio with the dynamic realities of Yemen, ensuring its development initiatives were both impactful and contextually appropriate.
The project aimed to map the key dynamics of conflict, identify peacebuilding priorities, and assess the risks associated with development interventions in Yemen. It emphasized providing actionable insights for strategic decision-making, addressing root causes of conflict, and designing interventions to foster sustainable peace.
